Our wine list has been carefully curated over the years and it’s fair to say we’re rather proud of it. So much so, we have a list of rather wonderful events to showcase different wines, extend and test your knowledge and essentially give us all an additional reason to come together and raise a glass!
First up is our Bordeaux Dinner in The Dining Room on October 26th. Destined to be a French extravaganza, this six course dinner will include an introduction to Bordeaux, a wine which is truly synonymous with quality and provides us with some of the world’s greatest wines, with a wine chosen to complement each course. Ian Howard, General Manager at the White Hart, will give a talk at various points throughout the meal and give you an opportunity to ask any questions.
A night to remember, tickets for our Bordeaux Dinner are £80.
Next up is our Saddleworth Wine Tasting event, which we host alongside Wino’s of Oldham. On November 3rd, Wino’s will bring their incredibly impressive portfolio (over 130 wines) to our Oak Room and we’ll be on hand to serve tapas and cheese. If you’ve ever wanted to try something a little different, then this is the event for you! At only £10 a ticket, it’s a chance to try something new, and we even have a food and wine pairing table which will give you an opportunity to try different pairings, ask questions and essentially come away with a little more knowledge than you came in with!
And finally, on November 17th, we have our ‘Whose Wine is it Anyway’ in the Oak Room. Whether you see yourself as the next big master of wine or just love a glass of red on the weekend, then this is the event for you! There are a panel of wine experts on the night, who will describe the wines you’ve drunk and you have to work out (or guess) who is lying and who is telling the truth. The panel know their stuff and will be doing their best to throw you off scent, so keep an eye out for the red herrings! Alongside the panel entertainment, in which there’s always a bit of audience participation for those who are willing, you’ll be served a four course meal, with your wines paired with each course. Tickets are £37.50 for this event, it’s always a great night and a chance to impress your friends if you get the answers right!
