When did you get married? 04/08/2017
What made you choose the White Hart as your wedding venue?
The venue is local to us and we wanted to have somewhere close to home. The White Hart is (in our opinion) the best venue around. The Oak Room is the perfect reception venue. The décor went well with our theme and the pavilion area is a fabulous addition, especially with the unpredictable British summer. From the moment we sat down to discuss booking the venue, to the wedding breakfast sampling, to the actual day, the staff were amazing. They made the organisation of the day so easy and stress free. The food was delicious- all our guests commented on how good it was!
How many guests did you have at your wedding? We had 70 day guests and 120 night guests.
What food did you have at the wedding?
For daytime food we had a mixture of canapes including smoked bacon tartlets, smoked salmon and cream cheese on toast, piri piri chicken skewers and cheese straws.
The main dinner featured Goosnargh chicken terrine, rump of beef with fondant potato, roasted shallots, Yorkshire pudding and red wine sauce and the dessert was a strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake.
Our evening food included pizza, salad, pasta and french fries.

What was your favourite part of the day?
The whole day was incredible and it is really hard to pick out a specific moment. The meal and the speeches were one of our favourite parts. Looking out to see all your family and friends there and realising what wonderful people you have in your life is very special.
Do you have any tips for brides and grooms planning their day that you wished you’d known?
Just go with the flow on the day, everything will work out fine. Be organised – don’t give yourself too much to do in the run up to your wedding.
Set a time for yourselves to have a few minutes together to try and take everything in – the day goes so fast and even though it is your day it is hard to find just a little bit of time to spend a few moments together.
We had our cake cut up and put out with the evening buffet – but we never had chance to have any- and we love cake! So if you put the cake out with the buffet, make sure a little bit is kept aside for you.
